Cima seeks candidates for the following position:

Senior Coating Engineer

Experienced coating engineer or scientist needed for nanotech startup company. Offers technical leadership in roll to roll coating process development for aggressive new nanoparticle emulsion coating.

Requirements:

Advanced degree in chemical engineering and 5 yrs industrial experience roll to roll coating process development (particularly slot die, gravure) or equivalent

Essential Job Functions:
Designs, executes, and interprets laboratory tests and/or experiments which may include:

Coating process development

Emulsion preparation and delivery processes and equipment

Nanoparticle dispersion and ink synthesis and characterization.

Coating, film and device characterization

Nanoparticle synthesis

Nanoparticle characterization

Operates requisite laboratory equipment and instruments; records data; maintains and makes minor adjustments to equipment.

Uses universal safety precautions to protect self and co-workers, and may be responsible for organizing/administrating broader safety and chemical handling program.

Supports fellow senior staff in experimental plans; takes directions, and follows through accordingly.

Provides technical leadership to company in coating development.

Interfaces directly with customers/partners professionally.

Carries out duties and responsibilities with limited supervision. Makes decisions and establishes work priorities.

Exchanges information with international/extended team with excellent communication skills.

Fit with team critical – need for strong interpersonal skills, organization, comfort-with-ambiguity, and passion.

Substantial (25-50%+) travel possible, domestic and international
